The Website History
Launched on May 13th 2003, Syndarys has gone through many different phases. Originally established as a personal site,
it soon grew into a small Harry Potter fansite. Though it had changed, it's original purpose of storing graphics and
multimedia still held on, keeping the site a multimedia based fansite.
The icons section started out very small, but soon grew to a proportion that was
too big for the site as a whole. I moved the icons to a seperate sub-section of
the site. Since then, it became apparent that the icons section and the graphics
in general were what the visitors wanted - so rather than have a substandard fansite,
I decided to make a good multimedia website. Thus, this version of Syndarys was
born! Since then, the site has been hosted by Queenie from Serpensortia.net
and Evil-Hand-Issues.com, until the start of 2005, when I moved to my own domain. Syndarys.net.
The Techno-Babble
This site was created with Dreamweaver UltraDev 4, Notepad, Photoshop 7 and Paintshop Pro 8. The graphics contained in the site were created with either Photoshop 7 or Paintshop Pro.
The website layout is a tables layout, much less complicated than my previous
CSS & DIV layers layout! But, I think it's far more visually attractive than
the previous layout.
